libgit2-dbg software package provides libgit2 library and debugging symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgit2-dbg
libgit2-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgit2-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgit2-dbg *
You will get with libgit2-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
